The largest Museum of Railways in Russia is opened in Saint Petersburg. Exactly 180 years ago the first passenger train in Russian history departed from St. Petersburg to Tsarskoe Selo.

The museum is built on the territory of the old locomotive depot of the Baltic Station. Its area is 57 thousand square meters. In the museum you can see multimedia installations and unique locomotives and wagons, some of which are presented in only one copy.

Until the end of 2017 the museum will work for free.
